Meltdown is an immersive video installation that depicts five intricately hand-drawn geometric patterns. These patterns are brought to life through projection and animation, using contrasting colors and shapes that merge and overlap to create a harmonious whole. Symbolizing the interconnectedness and interplay of opposing forces within one’s consciousness and the collective’s.

Seeking to reconnect with her inner universe, Sephiran observes the idea of polarity that delves into various aspects of the human experience. The contrast between light and darkness represents the constant struggle within ourselves and the world around us. Happiness and despair reflect the emotional spectrum that we all experience. Life and death symbolize the cycle of existence and the fragility of life.

Sephiran draws inspiration from her time in Japan, which adds an interesting layer to the exploration of polarity in the installation. The alarming suicide rate juxtaposed with the "Kawaii" culture found in Japan, highlights the paradoxical nature of human society. The resilience found in embracing cuteness and finding joy in small, simple things provides a counterbalance to the darkness and despair found in today's world.

The repetitive motions and recurring presence of the geometric patterns in the installation, further emphasize the idea of unity that lies within the diversity of human existence. Melting away the preconceived notions and the breaking down of barriers between opposites. Meltdown serves as a visual reminder of the power and beauty that can be found in accepting the duality that exists within us and around us.
